[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Blogging is not just about posting your thoughts or ideas where everyone can read them. It’s also what attracts the search engines. The more you post, the more the search engines come visiting. Writing or blogging is important for SEO, but it’s also important to the reader.

Search engine optimisation is rather a vicious circle. You blog and post, the search engine come and read it and posts it in the search results; the readers see it and come visiting. The search engine sees a lot of people are visiting, so they send another spider or bot (robot – a tiny program that reads your site) the next time you post a blog. The search engines put the blog post further up in the SERPs (search engine result page) and more readers show up. The more you blog the higher in the SERPs your results are for your website and so on and so on…

It continues until you’re number one of the search results page and you’re receiving tons of visitors to your site. That’s the prize you receive when you blog and it makes sense to use it for SEO. It’s a long term results for your investment. You’ll stay at the top of the search results as long as you continue to blog. Although, it does take a month or so to drop down the ladder on the SERPs, if you stop blogging. So, you can take a few weeks off without worrying about losing your page rank.

What to Do With Blogging:

Use regular updates on the topic of your website, but you can write about other things. People do like to be amused from time to time, and they like to read something completely off the wall, every now and again.

Create content that helps your readers. No person likes to be sold to every time they visit your site. Be helpful in solving the visitor’s problems. It helps to connect with your customers and when they are happy and can take something away with them, they tend to share it with others. You know the tune…they tell two people and they tell two people and so on and so on…

What Not to Do With Blogging:

Don’t give up – ever! The more you blog — the more will come, but be sure your content is worth reading and sharing. Be creative and write what has not been covered before with every other blog. The results you want will be there if you have the patience to wait for it to show up.

Don’t do the spammy thing or resort to black hat tactics. They are short term results and will give you a bad reputation. Follow Google’s guidelines and you’ll get your just rewards.

So, is SEO important to blogging or is blogging important to SEO? Yes, to both questions. It continues the cycle of SEO and search engine results. The results will be more traffic, more visitors and more conversions on your website.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
